Encouraging co-operation between neighboring countries in the fight against COVID-19

Using the data sourced from Johns Hopkins University, on April 22, 2020, we show bar plots that compare the percentage of active cases in India and its neighboring countries. The worst affected nations are Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, in the Indian sub continent.

With lock-downs enforced in the region, the spread of covid-19 has been slow in India, however the other three countries are still struggling with higher percentage of active cases.

Better co-operation between all neighboring countries through the exchange of life saving medicines, ventilators and PPE for front-line staff should be the foremost health policy decision in combating the spread of the corona virus.
